Well I'm at home today and my goal was to get the bathroom completely cleaned from top to bottom and even organize under the sink. Here are my before & after photos:
AFTER:
I'm really loving how Jack's Bathroom has come together. I just need to rehang the shower curtain rod and get the new curtain rings

Went to a lovely graduation party yesterday...along with dh and ds. Jack did great....especially for not having an afternoon nap. He ended up sleeping all the way to 8:15 this morning...so I got to sleep in a bit too!! That was nice!
Today is a work day :) but i get 2 days off this week b/c grandma has appointments and can't watch the little one. I hope to get a bunch done around the house those 2 days b/c i have a friend/client coming over on Saturday to work on her wedding invitations. Her fiance is coming over also to play video games with dh....although he might be watching the little one at the same time LOL.
So i think i posted before that we sold our couch, chair and ottoman at the yard sale and we're using lawn chairs down in the den which is getting a bit old. We went to the furniture store yesterday to price out some recliner sofas...and we found one with in our price range and comfort range (lol) that I'd like to get before the company comes over on saturday...we'll have to check and see how long it will take or if they have some in stock.
Anywhoo...until next time!!!

Well the garage sale went fantastic....we made a good bit of money back on the stuff we sold. Ken and I were able to sell our couch, chair, & ottoman for $20 more than we paid for it (bought it at a garage sale last year). So our living room is set up with our lawn chairs until we sell ken's truck and find the right set of recliner sofas.
We had a great flow of traffic pretty much the whole day, except for right at the beginning. We were a bit concerned when no one was there when we "opened" at 8am?? In all our time of doing garage sales we had always had more than one shopper show up BEFORE we started. So we prayed in the name of Jesus Christ with our power of attorney for the shoppers to come and for us to get good money for our items. And God DELIVERED.
We're pretty honest with our pricing we don't try to charge much alot of stuff we had was .10 items and .25 items, but we also had alot of things that were newer and worth more so we priced them as we'd pay for them. There wasn't much haggling so we knew we priced things right.
All those in the family who helped prepare and sell split up the $$ and we all did pretty good couldn't complain. I don't know that we're going to splurge on anything with our $$ but we've got a nice little chunk. I certainly realized I'm not spending $ on anything anymore. Finally after all this time I see how sad it is to buy something at a great deal of like $5.00 but if you never use it and it is brand new no one cares how much it was they're only going to pay .50 for it at a garage sale!
I still want to get rid of TONS AND TONS of stuff in the house it isn't necessarily junk just stuff that we no longer need. Rosie and Andy have some bigger pieces they want to sell towards the end of the summer nearer to their wedding so i might have to get my things ready by then.
Anywhoo....catch you later!
We're preparing for our garage sale on Saturday. What an undertaking....lots of work but we like it! It feels good to purge and let go of things that we just don't need anymore.
We're selling our couch and chair and ottoman on Saturday but right now we don't have anything to replace it with ACK!!. We're going to have to take the living room couch and bring it downstairs in the mean time.
BUT first we're putting in laminate flooring down in the den...another project to add to our extremely busy summer!! It should be an adventure putting the flooring in...we'll see how it goes!
Okay so this blog is all about me and my day to day...i can't say it will be exciting but i want to use this more as a record of the things i might not think are significant but neat to look back on.
So thanks for tuning in!!
